My Martins’ necks are all 1 and 11/16th inches wide at the nut, while Stu2 (the Taylor – I finally named him after Stu)’s neck is 1 and 3/4 inches. It means Stu2’s strings are minisculely further apart than, say, Cricket’s. But that seems to make all the difference in the world.
